The Realtography Story
As a professional commercial photographer who fast enjoyed first time Mum status to my sweet little daughter Eden in 2009, all I found myself doing at every opportunity was growing an image collection of her, in her natural surroundings.
Before long, with such positive feedback, coupled with intense demand from fellow Mums who were struggling to find an alternative to studio Family Photography, it could be said that evolving towards Realtography was inevitable!
Kids & photography is truly the most beautiful combination. The main purpose & passion however, was to offer a distinctive point of difference in the approach to Children’s Photography.
Bringing my commercial photographic skill & contemporary editorial style, & seamlessly applying it to kids & Baby Photography seemed second nature. And the results were truly striking imagery.
When you invite me into your space, you allow me the freedom to observe your child in their world. I am then able to create a collection of images that truly reflect their individual character. For Family Portrait Photography, it’s all about capturing the connection and bond between each unique relationship, as well as the family dynamic as a whole.
My approach is all about story telling through photography. The smaller details are just as important as the portraits themselves. It could be your child’s favourite toy, their first pair of shoes, or their favourite pastime, be it ballet, art or backyard footy.
These items and details are all intrinsic elements that are weaved throughout your child’s images and create the ‘Realtography’ unique offering.
The Realtography experience is not a ‘churn & burn’ studio session, where all the surroundings are controlled and your child or family members are required to ‘perform’ at a whim. To the contrary, Realtography understands that no two children are the same; hence no two shoots produce the same images.
The photography session is a truly unique experience for you as the client and equally for myself as the photographer.
The results are timeless images that will fill your heart for years to come, but equally fill your home with love and warmth for all to see today.
